Captain Tom Pitasi has been fishing most of his life.  Born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, Tom spent much of his youth fishing Long Island Sound for Bluefish and Striped Bass.  After work and on weekends Tom and his friend Kevin, whose family owns a marina, would borrow a boat and go fishing.  After high school Tom spent 14 years in the telecommunications / cellular industry, all the while fishing whenever he could. In 1995, Tom was hired as a full-time firefighter with the Greenwich Fire Department.  As a result of the fire department schedule, Tom was able to spend more time on the water and did so frequently. In 2000, Coastal Fishing Charters was “launched”, fishing out of Norwalk, Connecticut, and on occasion, Watch Hill, Rhode Island.  Today, Tom continues his duties as a Greenwich Firefighter and in 2003, Tom, his wife Denise, and their children Olivia and Thomas along with Coastal Fishing Charters moved its homeport to Waterford, Connecticut to fish Block Island Sound, Eastern Long Island Sound and its surrounding waters for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Bonito, False Albacore and Tuna.
